As a Catholic convert myself and new to the idea of liturgical seasons, I was inspired to create modern calendars to help me, my family, and other families navigate the wealth of daily resources available through the Church. These calendars offer seasonal liturgical colors and feast days. By celebrating liturgical seasons at home, we can experience the full “mystery of Christ from Incarnation and Nativity through his Ascension, to Pentecost and the expectation of the blessed hope of the coming of the Lord” (Catechism 1194).
Our 2017-2018 Liturgical Calendar is inspired and informed by the Ordinary Form* of the Catholic liturgy. The full, 365-day calendar year is represented on a single 12×18” textured WHITE or KRAFT paper.
Seasonal liturgical colors are noted in color around the outer rim of the circle.
Holydays of obligation are noted near the center of the circle.
Feast days are outlined at the bottom of the poster.
Feast days may be personalized; please send a direct message to request a customized order to include any favorite feasts days you like to remember. These may replace other feast days already listed on the calendar for the sake of space and legibility.
From the first Sunday of Advent through the last week in Ordinary Time, the Catholic Church celebrates the full “mystery of Christ from Incarnation and Nativity through his Ascension, to Pentecost and the expectation of the blessed hope of the coming of the Lord” (Catechism 1194).
By choosing the live the Christian liturgical year we are offered a chance to encounter the Lord personally, which in turn can be an outward expression of faith to others.
*Eventually we hope to provide the Extraordinary Form.
