This 3 1/2″ tall St. Lillian of Cordoba peg saint is a painted with a Chi Rho symbol on her back and no other visible Catholic symbols. In her time, St. Lillian lived in a place where Christians were persecuted. She was forced to hide her Christianity from her Moorish neighbors.
She died a martyr. Feast day: July 27.
I am an artist and often hear at mass to give of “time, talent, and treasure.” I am dedicated to always making something that celebrates my faith, whether a painted saint doll or a fine art mosaic of the Holy Family.
