“Hey brother, can you spare some change?” How many times are we asked this and we just ignore the person and move on? St. Martin of Tours was asked this by a nearly naked homeless man as he entered the gates of the city in full regalia with his Roman Calvary troupe. Rather than ignore the man, Martin drew his sword and cut half of his military issue cloak in half and gave it the man, regardless of the consequences of his superiors. That night in a dream Martin was able to recognize the homeless man as “Jesus in Disguise”. Martin would later become a bishop and work many great deeds but it is his simple act of charity that he is best known for.

Let this 16×20 print be a powerful reminder to you and your family to always be aware that “whatever you do to the least of these these, so also you do unto” the Lord.
