This beautiful rosary decade teether is made from natural materials and is safe for baby to chew on! The different textures from the wood beads, crochet beads, and wood cross will help soothe sore gums and engage your little one. These rosary decades are a wonderful way to introduce the little ones to an important part of our Catholic faith from a young age!
Each rosary decade is made by hand from maple wood beads, and crochet beads using 100% cotton yarn and thread – I crochet these beads myself. The beads are strung on durable, military grade paracord. The ends are singed to keep them from fraying. The knotting between beads and added safety clasp are new improvements to the design for added safety and usability! Now you can attach your teether to the stroller, shopping cart, or baby carrier! I cut and sand the wood cross myself (wood in picture is maple). Environmentally friendly and non toxic for the kiddos!
As a mom, I love the silicone teethers but would get so frustrated with how everything seems to get stuck on the silicone – hair, lint, dust, you name it! Enter the wood teethers! Why wood? Wood is 100% natural and it provides excellent counter pressure for those aching gums. Wood also has antibacterial properties to it – wood traps bacteria beneath it’s surface where it goes to die! It’s why wood cutting boards are recommended over plastic! Neat!
Cross is approximately 2×2 in
Rosary teether can come either with 3/4 in beads or 1 in beads. Please see photo for size reference as well as to see how the wood looks treated vs untreated. If you would like a custom size, please message me.
Can be made with single colors, or 2 colors. Please choose your primary color and if you would like any additional colors send me a message. There will always be 5 wood beads and 5 crochet beads. The crochet beads can be any combination of the colors listed.
Safety Information: The rosary is durable enough to be used as a teether but the product does contain small parts that could be of a choking hazard and a child should always be supervised with the rosary. Buyer assumes all responsibility for proper use. Always inspect item before use for any signs of damage and discard immediately if any are found.
Care: gently spot clean with mild soap and water and allow to air dry. Do not soak wood parts. To protect and seal wood, you can rub the wood with a natural oil of your choice (coconut oil is my personal favorite). Wood is a natural item that can crack over time. Conditioning the wood on a regular basis and after every cleaning helps to extend the life of your product.
If you would like me to treat the wood for you, please let me know
