Here is an activity for Shrove Tuesday (February 13, 2024).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One tradition that some parishes and families participate in is burying the alleluia during Lent. According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, &#8220;Alleluia means \u201cPraise the Lord!\u201d and it rings throughout the year \u2014 except during Lent. It&#8217;s not that the Church wants us to stop praising God during that time. Not at all.
