Our new eBook, Family Activities for Lent and Easter, contains twelve different projects to take you through Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Triduum, and Easter! Learning while at play, and with busy hands, not only provides a creative outlet but gives the family a chance to create something beautiful – and grow in faith – together.
The 12 activities are broken down into four parts per activity, providing consistency throughout the book and giving you the multiple ways to customize the activity to fit the needs of your family:
1. Opening Discussion: a child-friendly way to introduce the project that ties in their faith in a way they will understand. For most projects, this also includes a reading that can be done from a family or children’s Bible.
2. What You Need: a full materials list by project so you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips
3. How To Make: a thorough step-by-step set of instructions give you a walk through as you work through the project
4. Follow-Up Activity/Discussion: the project may be done, but the discussion doesn’t have to be – with suggested activities and talking points, the opportunities to share continue long after you put the supplies away
This 41-page book is sure to provide you with new ways to learn, grow, and explore this Lent and Easter season. With multiple projects available for each season, families can select those that best fit their time, availability, and age of children. Many of the projects can be left on display for months after you pack away your Easter eggs.
I hope this beautiful book gives you and your family many ways to choose from to celebrate Lent and prepare for Christ’s resurrection!

Message Faith and Fabric
Welcome to my corner. My name is Jen Frost. Faith and Fabric is my way of sharing projects I make in the hope that they inspire you be creative, too. I believe that there is something very personal in creating a beautiful item that reflects and retains a bit of you that wasn’t there before. I have loved creative projects for as long as I can remember, and find inspiration from both the everyday things around us. My faith is central to my family’s life and is often reflected in my work (and parenting. and relationships.). This is how Faith and Fabric was born. A desire to share my faith in a creative way – both the awesome projects and the mistakes! – and learn from you. You’ll find lots of quilting and crafting ideas to celebrate your faith – as well as a few small business strategies, too.
A quick side-story? Our priest, a few years ago for Christmas, asked, “If your home were to be visited by someone who had never heard of Christmas before, would they think – based on your decor – that Christmas was a day celebrating snowmen? A large man in a red suit? Consumerism? Or the birth of Christ?” This resonated *so much* for our (ahem) snowman-heavy house. Since then, I’ve been inspired to make faith-focused projects – both fabric and not – for the home to help remind us throughout the year what we are celebrating.
Thanks for joining me on this adventure, and I’d love to partner with you along the way.
Jen
