Handmade St. Theresa of Calcutta Pendant is encased in glasslike resin. The pendant includes a blue tube of water from the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes, France and a pewter finish St. Theresa of Calcutta medal. Mother Theresa joined the Sisters of Loretto in 1928 at the age of 18 and went to Calcutta, India in 1929. She had a great love and compassion for the poor, suffering, and discarded people and devoted the rest of her life to serving them. She influenced and inspired leaders and people all over the world through her work with her “call within a call,” the Missionaries of Charity. She died at the age of 87 in 1997 and is the patroness of World Youth Day.
