If you’re like most people, you cook at home. You might even use steel wool – the go-to abrasive cleaning tool since the late 1800s – to clean your cookware. But steel wool tends to fray and wear out in a matter of weeks. It also collects tiny bits of food, which are nearly impossible to get out and foster the growth of nasty bacteria. Not exactly what you want for a cleaning product, right?
This Saint George Chainmail Scrubber solves all those problems. The 7/16″, 16-gauge wire rings are far more durable than the tiny strands of steel wool, which means you can use this scrubber for years to come. And it’s made from food-grade 304 alloy stainless steel, so it’s safe to use in your kitchen (or your campsite). Cleaning it is easy, too – just a bit of hot, soapy water, and the grime comes right out. You can even throw it in the dishwasher.

Measures approximately 3.5″ square. Extra space in the weave allows it to expand nearly 1″ in either direction. Safe for use on cast iron, glassware, pizza stones, and stainless steel. But please, for the sake of your mother’s vintage Le Creuset French oven, do NOT use this on enameled, nonstick, copper, or other soft metal cookware. Do not use with bleach or other chlorine-based cleaners, as this will corrode the steel rings.
In 2015, Nick purchased a ring to propose to his girlfriend, Elizabeth. But he knew a ring wasn’t enough–he had to have something even more personal, authentic, and significant than that. So, he decided to make her a rosary. She absolutely loved it–and they married on January 9th, 2016.
While planning out their wedding, they decided to continue making rosaries together as a way to further encourage prayer within their relationship. They see the Armory as an opportunity to reach even more people through prayer and to participate in their own way in the mission of winning hearts for Christ and His Church.
Over the last 3 years, Our Lady’s Armory has grown from a tiny selection of chain-link rosaries to over 4 dozen unique chain-link, paracord, and ball-chain rosaries, chainmail scrubbers, cufflinks, and pet collars, with even more new products planned for 2018. Please feel free to contact Nick if you’d like to talk about a new design; he’d love to help make your vision a reality! The Armory is built on the belief that beauty and integrity are two ways of coming to know God more intimately, so each item is built with pride and the hope that it will help you grow in your faith.
