From the beginning, Our Lady’s Armory has sought to provide faithful Catholics – especially Catholic men – with sturdy, well-made rosaries that speak to the beauty and integrity of our Catholic faith. We started with the Saint Joseph rosary, and then the “Memento Mori” skull rosary. Lately, we’ve started producing 550-paracord rosaries. We’ve even made heavy hematite Saint Michael rosaries and dozens of custom orders. But there was still one more style we wanted to provide… a replica of the rosary commissioned by the U.S. Government in 1916 and issued to servicemen during WWI and WWII.
This rosary is like nothing else in our shop. With silver-plated brass beads manufactured on an industrial scale right here in the USA, then hand-assembled and joined with sturdy split rings to Italian oxidized-silver Miraculous Medals and Pardon Crucifixes, it truly is a unique and durable rosary. Unfortunately, industrial manufacturing methods mean the minimum order for our supplies was too costly to offer this rosary when Our Lady’s Armory first opened. But as we’ve built our little Armory up over the last year and a half, we’ve finally found ourselves in a position to afford a “first edition” limited run of 100 WWI Battle Rosaries, with more planned if this initial run goes well.
Included with your purchase of this rosary will be a small drawstring pouch and a pair of Armory business cards (one for you and one for a friend), packaged safe and secure in a blue poly bubble envelope.
Order your Battle Rosary today. Because nothing says Padre Pio’s famous quote, “the rosary is the weapon for these times,” like the rosary issued to U.S. servicemen during both World Wars.
**CUSTOMIZATION AVAILABLE. Please ask us about other centers and crucifixes we can build into this rosary.
In 2015, Nick purchased a ring to propose to his girlfriend, Elizabeth. But he knew a ring wasn’t enough–he had to have something even more personal, authentic, and significant than that. So, he decided to make her a rosary. She absolutely loved it–and they married on January 9th, 2016.
While planning out their wedding, they decided to continue making rosaries together as a way to further encourage prayer within their relationship. They see the Armory as an opportunity to reach even more people through prayer and to participate in their own way in the mission of winning hearts for Christ and His Church.
Over the last 3 years, Our Lady’s Armory has grown from a tiny selection of chain-link rosaries to over 4 dozen unique chain-link, paracord, and ball-chain rosaries, chainmail scrubbers, cufflinks, and pet collars, with even more new products planned for 2018. Please feel free to contact Nick if you’d like to talk about a new design; he’d love to help make your vision a reality! The Armory is built on the belief that beauty and integrity are two ways of coming to know God more intimately, so each item is built with pride and the hope that it will help you grow in your faith.
