Connecting to Stripe is required, because Stripe is the payment processor. Connecting to Stripe enables you to receive payments directly and instantly from customers, no waiting for a payout.
As a payment processor, Stripe is required by law to collect sensitive information. Rest assured, this is entirely safe. Stripe is one of the biggest payment processors in the world and has an excellent reputation.
Let’s Begin
- If you haven’t already, login.
- Go to your Dashboard.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Settings, click on the Payment tab.
- Now, click on the Connect to Stripe button.
At this point, you’ll be taken to a Stripe webpage to complete a form, and the rest is relatively self-explanatory. If you already have a Stripe account, be sure to login to Stripe at this point, before filling out anything, to avoid wasting time.
When completing the form, you may enter peterssquare.com as your website.
When the form is complete and submitted, you will land back at Peter’s Square on your Dashboard where you should see a Success! notice that you are now connected to Stripe. Additionally, if you return to the Settings > Payment tab, you should now find the blue button is gone and in its place, “Your account is currently connected to Stripe.”
