Description
This handmade brown scapular is made of 100% Merino brown wool felt. The pieces are hand stitched and embellished with felt and embroidery. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is depicted on one end and The Sacred Heart of Jesus is on the other. The wool pieces measure approximately 1 inch wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. The cord is made of brown leather and measures approximately 18 inches between each piece.
Care Instructions: Because the scapular is made from 100% wool, according to Our Lady’s request, it will shrink if washed. Always remove scapular while bathing. If scapular must be washed, soak in cold water with mild soap, rinse with cold water, but DO NOT agitate or rub it while wet, or it will felt. Allow scapular to air dry.

Our Lady’s Conditions:
- To observe exactly what has been prescribed regarding material, color, and shape of the scapular, that it must be 100% brown wool, in a rectangular shape.
- To be enrolled in the Brown Scapular by a Priest.
- To wear it continually.
The Brown Scapular is a silent prayer, that shows one’s complete concretion and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Brown Scapular is a devotion, whereby we venerate Her, love Her, and trust in her protection, and we tell her these things every moment of the day by simply wearing her Brown Scapular.

I’m a Catholic wife and mother of two grown children, living in the beautiful state of Texas. I work full time outside the home, but in my spare time, I love cooking, gardening, playing with my two dogs, and crafting a variety of items in my craftroom. My favorite crafts include sewing, knitting, and crocheting. I’ve named my shop “Sheer Blessings” because the veils I make are “sheer” (and I started off just selling veils in my shop) and my life is full of “blessings” from our Lord. I’m so thankful for all the blessings I’ve been given.
