Handmade St. Philomena Pendant is encased in glasslike resin. The pendant includes a red tube of water from the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes, France and a pewter finish St. Philomena medal. St. Philomena was an early Christian martyr during the reign of Emporer Diocletian. She had taken a vow of chastity at 13 years old. When Philomena refused Diocletian’s suit, he had her scourged, thrown into the water with anchors attached to her, and shot full of arrows. She was ultimately beheaded. She is the patroness of babies, infants, and youth. This pendant is surrounded by a stainless-steel bezel and comes with a 20-inch chain, with a large bale to make adding your favorite chain easy. This keepsake is handcrafted with love in a small town in Northern California, USA, by Dolormata Designs.
